Alvin
Alvin is the Co-Founder of DUEx. With more than 15 years in the business, he is a premium resource for design knowledge and utility processes. A basketball fanatic who once made 20 free throws during the Nike 3ON3 competition, Alvin often boasts about marrying his college crush and his three amazing kids Ava, Trent, and Art. He once bowled a score of 286 with 8 strikes in a row (perfect score is 300). Alvin loves to ride mountain bikes in his free time, but golf is his #1sport of choice. In the near future, he deeply desires to travel to the Philippines with his family and visit his loved ones. His motto: “Live a life that makes God, your family, and loved ones proud of you.”
CO-FOUNDER
Ian
Ian has been in the industry for over 17 years. He is best known by the DUEx family for his continuous kindness and support toward employees. He’s a competitor at heart, spending lots of time on the basketball court with friends. Ian is a devout Laker/Dodger fan and can recite player stats, rosters, and batting averages off hand. He also loves to hang out with his wife and two children, Noah and Emilia. His favorite food is Jollibee Fried Chicken & Spaghetti. As a forward thinker, Ian is always striving to better the company, break new ground, and support his squad.
Fun Fact: when Ian was in middle school, he took a summer vacation to the Philippines, where he was scouted and offered a basketball scholarship at a local high school and college. Alas, he opted to stick to being a U.S. citizen, which led him to his flourishing career at DUEx.
FOUNDER
Matt G.
Meet our go-to electrical load calculator, Matt possesses a great obsession with pizza and does not discriminate pizza of any kind. From Little Caesars to Pequod’s, a deep-dish joint mainstay in Chicago, he will thoroughly enjoy them all. Formerly immersed in the e-commerce industry for seven years, Matt holds a degree in Journalism and has produced stories for an L.A.-based newspaper, online outlet covering a Southeast L.A. community, as well as his alma mater’s publication, The Daily Forty-Niner. A die-hard Star Wars fan and online poker railbird (someone who watches other people play instead of actually playing), Matt also enjoys coding in his free time and dabbling in programming languages. If you ever ask him what he loves more than anything in the world, he’ll tell you that his family is his answer without hesitation. He can be found on his off time chasing after his toddler daughter, wherever they go.

Gabriel
Gabe is known for his energetic, helpful, and well-rounded personality. Prior to his start at DUEx in August 2020, he held multiple titles as a Bartender, Festival Merchandise Manager, IT Student Worker, and DJ…all while getting his B.A. from Cal Poly Pomona. In his free time, Gabe stays active by hiking, biking, snowboarding, traveling, and attending music festivals and Dodger games. His most recent goal achieved is hiking Mt. Fuji in the off-season in November of 2023 and plans to conquer more next year.

PROJECT MANAGER
Chris
Chris is one of the most cheerful additions to the DUEx family. Originally from Fountain Valley, he now resides in Huntington Beach with his wife - Kelsey, puppy - Abby, and their two lovable and amazing kiddos. Before joining our team, he racked up five years in the aerospace industry and was a surf instructor. Chris loves chipping away at woodworking projects and playing volleyball with his wife at the beach. Le Croix, pizza rolls, and spending time with church friends and family members on the weekend is his happiness.
Fun fact: He cannot handle anything sour and convulses with agony.
Not so fun fact: he was stung by a stingray and had to wait in a car for over 45 mins before getting help.
Yara
Yara brings the mom energy anywhere she goes and the DUEx office is a place for just that. Although she has worn a dozen different hats for the team, she is now the office Culture Curator and prides herself in trying to encourage everyone around to be their best self in and out of work.
Yara keeps the team fed and read, by buying all of the snacks and books. She lends a helping hand wherever there is a need, and she is excited for the future of DUEx. While away from the office, the CSULB alumni spends most of her time at Target and with her family. She can be seen volunteering in the kids ministry at her church, Harvest Christian Fellowship in Irvine. She has also traveled to Africa, Asia, and Mexico on missions trips.
Pro tip: if you want to know the way to her heart, it’s with any cheese or bread and 90’s music.
OFFICE MANAGER
Eddie
Eddie’s background is in commercial aerospace, in which he worked for eight years. He specialized in composites and chemical mixing, made OEM panels for Boeing and Airbus, and worked on government contracted jobs.
He’s a father of two amazing daughters, is a music enthusiast, and big time gamer. When we say big time, we mean BIG TIME. He was nearly a professional gamer at the age of 16.

Marru
Marru was born and raised in Huntington Beach and continues to reside there with her husband and two children, along with their dog Siku (an American Eskimo), cat Nike, and even some goldfish. She and her family enjoy traveling, board games, camping trips, and wine tasting. She holds a B.S. in Biology from UCLA. Prior to DUEx, Marru worked at a veterinary hospital for 9 years. On her free time, she dives into her true passion of Polynesian Dancing, which she has been doing for over 33 years! As a child, Marru spent summers in Maui with her family and decided she wanted to “be a hula dancer” at a young age. She started performing professionally as a teenager and has danced in the Rose Parade, Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards, KROQ Weenie Roast, Universal Studios, and Disneyland and even landed a spot to compete in the Heiva I Tahiti. Off-stage, she can also be found teaching Polynesian Dance at Orange Coast College.
FINANCE COORDINATOR
Adrian
Adrian, our very own fast and furious speed racer, may be a bit quiet but the racer is equally quick to learn all the technical ins and outs for his job here at DUEx. When is he not studying for his Construction Management degree at Cal State Long Beach, Adrian is working on his 2018 Camaro SS for countless hours. He is usually racing his car or racing in runs, since Adrian has already successfully ran two full marathons with the goal of running more. Adrian also loves to spend time with his family and his dogs, who are spoiled and loved on by their whole family. He says he enjoys working at Dry Utility Experts since, "the leaders at DUEx have changed my life for the better. The environment is amazing, and I enjoy the work that we do."

Ricardo
Everyone here knows him as Bear, although legally his name is Ricardo, which what his Bachelors Degree from Cal State Long Beach reads as well. Bear is the youngest of five siblings, but easily has the largest heart of them all. He is a fan of almost every sport but his favorite to cheer on are the Dodgers in baseball, the Lakers in basketball, the Chivas in Mexican soccer, and Canelo in boxing - and he’s even traveled to several states to watch his matches!
Bear loves to travel and his favorite country so far is Brazil, and of the twenty plus states he’s visited Colorado and Oregon are among his favorites! He loves competition and a challenge, and has set a personal goal of running a full marathon every year since successfully finishing his first locally in Long Beach. Bear is always on the go, and will go far within DUEx as well!

Juventina
Juventina has been around construction for almost her whole life, with her dad being a construction worker and later down the road with her family owning a construction material shop. Juventina excelled in school and won a spot in a technical school that introduced her to Land Surveying, which eventually led to her bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying and Geomatics. Although she brings a bag of experience to the table, one of her greatest gifts is being the AutoCAD wiz in the office.
If you know "Monica" from Friends, you might see a ton of similarities with Juventina. She loves to cook, clean, and constantly redecorate her home. The latte and matcha enthusiast is extremely close to her family. She'll regularly Facetime with them while at the grocery store, errands and doing any chores.
Matt M.
Matt is a young gun and fresh out of a nursing program. He is an eclectic guy, who holds a deep love of music, can play the drums, dabbles in cinematography, gets lost in video games and streaming, skates, plays basketball, and travels the world. He’s traveled to many locations, but his absolute favorite place so far is right here in the U.S. - Wyoming. Fast forward some decades into the future, and you might find Matt retired on a ranch. Wherever he ends up, his love for family and friends will always remain instilled in him.

Linda
Although Linda is born & bred in Orange County, her favorite season is winter and she prefers the cold. Yet no matter the season, Linda makes sure our office and books are in perfect order as acting Office Controller. The CSULB alum has been in the accounting field for over ten years. Linda continues her studies to continually learn and contribute more at DUEx, and she also can likely teach a course on true crime shows and documentaries since she has seen them all.
On her free time Linda enjoys being outdoors with her family, having a picnic at the park or spending the day at the beach.
OFFICE CONTROLLER
EJ
Eddie, also known as EJ, is one of the newest official DUEx team member, but he has been around for over a year gleaning and learning since he has been assisting founder Ian on tons of side projects. Eddie, also known as EJ, is studying communications in college currently, but as busy as his studies and work keep him he has plenty of time for hobbies too. EJ is an avid sports fan that plays and watches, making sure to stay on top of all the Eagles, Lakers and Phillies games.
EJ is also pretty fearless and even befriended and pet a wild bear, thinking it was a dog during a fishing trip. Dogs are welcomed at DUEx, but EJ knows not to bring bears!
